Terms & Conditions

Welcome to TutorDo. By accessing or using our website (www.tutordo.ae) and our tutoring services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before booking a lesson.

1. Definitions

“We”, “Us”, “TutorDo” refers to TutorDo, the service provider.
“You”, “Student”, “Parent/Guardian” refers to the individual booking and receiving tutoring services.
“Tutor” refers to the freelance educator assigned to deliver lessons.

2. Service Overview

TutorDo connects students with qualified freelance tutors for online academic lessons delivered through Google Meet or similar platforms.

We provide:

  • Subject-specific online tutoring

  • One-time and package-based lessons

  • Matching services between students and tutors

  • Customer support via support@tutordo.ae

TutorDo does not provide in-person tutoring.

3. Booking & Payments

3.1 Booking Process

  • All bookings are made through our website.

  • Students must complete the booking form and submit payment to confirm a lesson.

  • After payment, TutorDo matches the student with a suitable tutor based on subject, level, and availability.

3.2 Payment Terms

  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

  • Lessons are only confirmed after successful payment.

  • Any failed payment must be resolved before a tutor is assigned.

3.3 Pricing

  • All prices displayed on the website are in AED and may be updated at any time.

  • Promotional pricing, if applicable, will be clearly stated.

4. Lesson Cancellation & Rescheduling

4.1 Student-Initiated Changes

  • Students may request rescheduling at least 6 hours before the lesson time.

  • Cancellations made within 12 hours of the scheduled time are non-refundable.

4.2 Tutor-Initiated Changes

If a tutor must cancel, TutorDo will provide:

  • A replacement tutor or

  • A rescheduled session at no extra cost

  • In rare circumstances where neither is possible, a refund may be issued.

5. Refund Policy

Refunds are issued only in the following cases:

  • The tutor fails to attend the scheduled session.

  • A technical issue caused by the tutor prevents the lesson from continuing.

  • TutorDo cannot provide a suitable tutor after payment.

Refunds are not issued for:

​

  • Student technical issues (internet, device problems, etc.)

  • Missed sessions due to student lateness or absence

  • Lessons already completed

Refund requests must be submitted via support@tutordo.ae.

6. Tutor-Student Conduct

6.1 Code of Conduct

Students and tutors must:

​

  • Communicate respectfully

  • Attend sessions on time

  • Use Google Meet appropriately

  • Avoid sharing offensive or inappropriate content

​

TutorDo reserves the right to remove a student or tutor who violates conduct rules.

6.2 Safety & Privacy

  • Tutors are prohibited from requesting personal information unrelated to lessons.

  • All communication must remain professional.

  • Students under 18 must be supervised by a parent/guardian.

7. Responsibilities

7.1 Tutor Responsibilities

Tutors are responsible for:

  • Preparing and delivering high-quality lessons

  • Communicating clearly and professionally

  • Maintaining stable internet and audio/video quality

7.2 Student Responsibilities

Students are responsible for:

  • Attending lessons on time

  • Ensuring stable internet connectivity

  • Completing any assigned materials

TutorDo is not responsible for a student’s academic results or performance.

8. Intellectual Property

All lesson materials (notes, worksheets, recordings, explanations) provided by tutors are the property of the tutor or TutorDo and may not be:

  • Reproduced

  • Resold

  • Distributed publicly

​​

without prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

TutorDo is not liable for:

​

  • Academic outcomes or grades

  • Student technical issues

  • Losses resulting from misuse of the platform

  • Any interactions between tutor and student outside of our system

​​

Our liability is limited to the cost of the service purchased.

10. Data Protection & Privacy

We respect your privacy.
All personal information is managed according to our Privacy Policy.

TutorDo will never sell or share your data with third parties except:

​

  • Payment processors

  • Communications platforms (e.g., Google Meet)

  • Tutors assigned to your sessions

11. Non-Circumvention Policy

To protect the integrity of our platform and the work of our tutors, both students and tutors agree to the following:

11.1 No Direct Deals or Side Agreements

Students and tutors are strictly prohibited from:

  • Discussing pricing or payment arrangements outside TutorDo

  • Arranging lessons privately outside the TutorDo platform

  • Exchanging services without going through TutorDo

  • Offering discounted or alternative lessons that bypass TutorDo

​​

All payments must be made directly through TutorDo.

11.2 No Sharing of Personal Payment Information

Tutors may not request or accept:

​

  • Bank transfers

  • Cash

  • PayPal

  • Wise

  • Cryptocurrency

  • Any payment method outside TutorDo’s official billing system

​​

Students may not offer or provide such payments.

11.3 Consequences of Circumvention

If a student or tutor attempts to bypass TutorDo:

​

  • Immediate suspension or removal from the platform

  • For tutors: termination of partnership and forfeiture of unpaid balances

  • For students: cancellation of future bookings with no refund

  • Legal action may be pursued if significant losses occur

11.4 Reporting

If a tutor or student is contacted with an offer to bypass the platform, they must report it immediately to:

12. Modifications to Terms

TutorDo reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
